The Bayer Leverkusen centre-back has been touted as one of Germany’s most promising for some time and has attracted Premier League interest, but Barca have since put him near the top of their list.
Yerry Mina has long been seen as one of Barca’s main priorities but they are unlikely to snap him up in January and will instead aim for the former Hamburg player.
