The father of my child wants me back but couldn't agree to my request

I asked him to pay my dowry if he wants me back to him.
 

I am a lady of 32. I dated a guy and we have a son together.

He was a loving and caring person. We lived together until his family started interfering into the relationship and telling him to marry a Taiwan girl.

I later found out that he was dating a girl who is Taiwan and I packed out of the house with my son and told him to go ahead and marry the lady since that’s what his family wants.

I also moved out to enable me start my life afresh. Now he is on my neck that I should come back.

People are calling me to come back to him. I told him I can't come because if he wants me back, he has to go and pay my dowry.

All he keeps telling me is that I should come so that we can settle. In fact I am confused on what to do.
