Ndidi shocks Liverpool with Leicester City, Greek cup rejoiced over Emenike

We review how some Nigerian players fared on Tuesday, September 19 with their respective clubs in Europe.
As usual, we start from England where Super Eagles midfield Wilfred Ndidi played 84 minutes in Leicester City’s 2-0 home win over Liverpool in the third round of the Carabao Cup (League Cup).

Kelechi Iheanacho was on the bench for Leicester City alongside compatriot Ahmed Musa.
In Germany, former Golden Eaglets striker Victor Osimhen watched from the bench as Wolfsburg were held 1-1 at home by Werder Bremen in a Bundesliga game.
In Greece, former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike scored twice for Olympiakos in their Greek Cup 2-1 win over Asteras.

Just back from a three-week injury layoff, Emenike netted in the 71st minute from the penalty spot before adding a second in the 78th minute
In Belgium, former Nigerian U-20 flying Eagles skipper Abduljeleel Ajagun scored for Kortrijk FC in their 5-3 win over RES Durbuy in the Belgian Beker Van Belgie (Belgian Cup).
Ajagun scored Kortrijk’s fifth goal of the game, his second this season.
