Phyno: Rapper spoke on allegations of rape at Phynofest
Phyno has come out to speak on the allegations of rape at his annual concert.
Nigerian rapper Phyno has reacted to allegations of rape at his annual Phynofest which held in Enugu in November 2017.
Shortly after Phynofest, there were unconfirmed whispers of rape at his concert. Now, these whispers have grown louder.
On Twitter, Nigerians are expressing disgust and sadness over the unconfirmed stories.
Phyno has responded to the allegations of rape at his concert on Twitter today, Sunday, December 17, 2017.
"We
had over 150 bouncers in the stadium .. Over 300 policemen, + civil
defense, military personnel and the commissioner of police there" tweeted Phyno.
He admitted that some people tried to harass some of the women who attended his show but they are arrested.
Some hoodlums that tried to Harass girls and other people off their
belongings were arrested and some are still in custody till now
Phyno also stated that new investigations are being carried.
These tweets are coming up the same day frequent Phyno collaborator Olamide is holding his annual concert. The Yoruba rapper is taking his #OLIC show outside of Eko Hotel & Suites for the first time in four years.
The third edition of Phynofest held on Sunday, November 20, 2017, and saw Phyno perform alongside industry's finest acts including veteran songstress, Onyeka Onwenu, MI, Olamide, Psquare, Burna Boy, Patoranking, Kcee, Mr Eazi, Zoro, Lil kesh among others.
Fans of the highly indigenous rapper came out in their numbers filling the Nnamdi Azikiwe
Stadium with a total of 30,000 excited fans screaming excitedly while
over 5,000 fans who were not allowed entry due to security challenges
camped at the entrance as an expression of their love for the rapper.
