Where is the love?

"Beautiful souls have been left to wander off, tossed back and forth like a rickety boat ashore". "Where did we go wrong with our boys?"

I pen this letter with a heavy heart, I'm unsure of how or when something went wrong in time. I know for a fact that pain and grief would be familiar to anyone who choose to read this...

To The Officer who lives down the street...

Omolade was a beautiful child, graceful and elegant in her own special way. Everyone was intrigued to have her as company and anywhere she went, she was acknowledged by all and sundry. One fateful day, she turned sixteen and her parents decided to have a party in her honour. Everyone from school was invited to attend this party, little did they know it was the last time they'll see her alive.
She was abducted by unknown assailants, brutally raped to death and her body was deposited in the swamp behind the community she lived. Her body served as a delicious menu to the aquatic animals, she was eaten beyond recognition but for some people who discovered her bloated body afloat the river after almost two weeks of being declared missing...
Natasha was a promising young woman in her early twenties, a brilliant lawyer and advocate for Humanity. She was the breadwinner of her large family back in the East and engaged to be married to the love of her life. One of the occupational hazards of her profession was to prosecute offenders and ensure defenseless citizens got the right justice in the Court of Law.
One of her cases didn't augur well with a relation of the convict and he vowed to make her pay. She did, with her life. Few days to her wedding, her apartment went up in flames at about 2am, with a sleeping Natasha inside. Autopsy revealed she was drugged to sleep and placed on the bed by an unidentified male, before her apartment was filled up with gas and left to burn with a lit cigarette stick...
Asabe was the pride of her veteran soldier father. Although blind, her soul was filled with such happiness and she always had positive things to say about others, regardless of how they treated her. She was excellent with Braille and placed amongst the best special students in her state.
Unfortunately, that wasn't meant to last long, for she was raped and shot thrice in her privates by her neighbour's son, who claims she seduced him...
Asabe, Natasha and Omolade were victims of a cruel society. Their destinies cut short in their prime by these heartless men.
Where did we go wrong with our boys??? Why were these beautiful souls left to wander off, tossed back and forth like a rickety boat ashore??
These questions are yet to be answered by anyone, instead everyone keeps acting like they're less concerned.

(West Word)

Cherica Adams was a 24 year old pregnant student who was murdered because she refused to have an abortion for her boyfriend.
These three young women are but a few of the numerous cases of murder perpetrated by perverted men. It could be anyone of us, these killers just derive pleasure by inflicting pain on their helpless victims.
They're cowards who prey on harmless girls. They shouldn't be allowed to roam our streets freely, they're not fit to live amongst us, they should be brought to justice.
Enough is enough, let's end this barbaric acts once and for all.
