Cyril Stober, 5 things that will surprise you about veteran broadcaster's wedding
Veteran NTA broadcaster, Cyril Stober and his partner, Elizabeth Banu have tied the knot.
In
a traditional wedding ceremony that has caught us all by [a very
pleasant] surprise, the seasoned presenters have come together in a
union that will hopefully flourish as their sparkling individual
careers.
Apart from working together for NTA, here are more things we know about the couple and their nuptials.
1. Wedding venue
The
couple had their traditional wedding at Banu’s hometown in Garkida,
Adamawa State, in accordance with the wedding tradition that states that
the groom would need to go to the bride’s father’s home to ask for her
hand in marriage.
2. Wedding date
Cyril Stober and Elizabeth’s Banu’s wedding held on January 13, 2018. News of the ceremony broke that same day.
There had been no hint whatsoever in the media prior to the day.
3. They’re actually not colleagues
Not anymore, at least.
Cyril
Stober has retired from NTA since 2015, putting to bed a glowing
illustrious career that lasted over 20 years with the TV behemoth.
4. Relationship
The pair were together for a while before deciding to tie the knot, reports several media outlets.
The couple are lowkey though, so no definitive time can be put on their relationship.
5. Cyril was once married to another NTA worker
The veteran presenter’s marriage with Elizabeth Banu would be his second as he was once married to Efun Merriman-Johnson, who is based now in the United Kingdom.
On the same day of Cyril's and Elizabeth's traditional wedding in Adamawa state, singer Omawumi Megbele tied the knot in Warri with Tosin Yusuf, to whom she has been legally married since 2015.
The actress glowed and glittered in her three fabulous outfits at the ceremony which "formally" makes her "Mrs Y".
Congratulations to the pair from Pulse Weddings.
