Edo state politician calls for ban of Olamide’s new song

After coming under heat for releasing a hit with implausible content last year, YBNL boss Olamide has again released another hit that has subjected him to heat again, as his latest tune, Science Students, is threatened by a ban.

Last year, Olamide came up with a viral hit, WO. The hit went viral and was widely accepted by Nigerian youths, thus calling for concern, as the lyrical content of the song is far from being appropriate. A ban was supposedly placed on the song. But right this moment, WO is still blazing the airspace!!! And now, Badoo has added another tune to the gallery.
After being silent towards the ending of 2017, the YBNL boss kick-started 2018 with a controversial tune titled Science Students. The song, which is mostly sung in Yoruba, glorifies or rather encourages the uses of hard drugs and herbs.
This has led to former Edo State gubernatorial candidate, Pedro Obaseki, making a call for the immediate ban of the viral song. The Edo state politicians decried the lyrical content of Olamide’s latest song, stating that Olamide is a role model is leading fellow youths astray as registered in his song. The ban is now being awaited. Can that even happen?
