Pathetic or a go-getter?

In the same way that there are two sides to a coin, there are always two ways of looking at the same matter.

When a lady ceaselessly chases after a guy, does that make her pathetic or an actual go-getter?

Go-getters know how to set the sights on a particular goal and then pursue it until it is done and over with. They don’t give up unless they have attained their objective. Likewise, some ladies would do everything in their power to have a guy and then people who are watching label that as pathetic. 

This is one and the same situation but just because a guy is involved in the picture now, people don’t commend such efforts, instead, they ridicule it and so it got me thinking.

At the crux of my pondering, I figured that the reason people look down on such tenacious efforts is because of the modus operandi of our society. The way we were brought up, men always do the chasing so no matter how ‘posh’ a lady is, as long as she is trying to get a man’s attention then we condemn such action. 

Now, in my opinion, it is good to be a go-getter and at times, a lady can be a go-getter when it comes to ‘capturing’ her man’s heart. The only time I would have a problem with that is if she debases herself in any way to gain his attention.

You can lightly flirt with him or shower him with attention so he can get the green light but lowering yourself for a man by spoiling him with money/gifts, washing his clothes, cleaning his house, cooking for him like a maid, offering him sex etc.? Come on, girl, be more sensible!
