Could coffee prolong your lifespan?

Well, we have heard all sorts of things about this topic. Coffee is rich in caffeine, a substance said to be detrimental to the health when ingested in large quantities. However, recent studies show you may be safe after all if you are all about coffee.

There is good news for those who need a boost of caffeine to start the day. You don’t have to worry about those who say you should do away with this ‘vice’. You don’t have to worry about the side effects of caffeine. You can continue with this habit because a study conducted by Stanford’s School of Medicine shows that caffeine is most likely responsible for fending off chronic inflammation which accounts for most diseases associated with aging.
The study involved 100 subjects and it was found that the subjects’ blood contained a compound found in chocolates and tea as well which possess anti-inflammatory qualities. It was also discovered that those who recorded that those with high intake of caffeine were 8 times more likely to have at least one close relative who had lived as old as 90 years.
The study which was published in Nature Medicine, a journal concluded that coffee (caffeine) drinkers fall into a group with genes that fight inflammation that is responsible for most at least 90 % of non-communicable diseases.
Therefore, sit with your legs in the air and enjoy a cup or two. If your day is a little more hectic than that, then grab a cup to-go to start your day.
A personal note from me though is to go easy on the coffee all the same. You don’t need too much stimulant in your system.
